Shaping Self

Drawing on Carl Jung's theory of individuation, Shaping Self is a series of sculptural ceramic pieces which use texture and form to explore the evolution of the self towards wholeness. The pieces are hand-built using stoneware clay and meticulously decorated with porcelain slip, underglaze, oxides and glaze, creating contrasting layers that metaphorically represent the relationship between the conscious and unconscious.
